Whne calibrated this TV’s data revivals TV’s twice its price in this size range.
if you dotn calibrate the tv use the movie setting as its the clesest to what it should be.
can’t go wrong getting this and I have not seen any motion artifacts with this tv.

Bought a Samsung 40″ LCD TV 2 1/2 years ago based on high ratings from all types of groups. Now the TV turns on and off 8-10 times before getting a real picture and has multi-colored lines in it.
Off Warranty says Samsung – call a service person. Called 2 of the ones Samsung recommended – service tech said problem is bad power panel(s) from defective manufactured parts; depending on the number of panels – repair cost is $275-$650.
Said they have seen this problem from a number of Samsung LCD TV’s this age. Contacted Samsung – nothing – no care, concern, no response to acknowledging the defects or any action to making the problem right.
Save yourself the headaches – DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS – but a Sony, Vizio or LG – you’ll be better off and no frustrations in a couple of years. Samsung has ZERO customer service.

i guess my other samsung must be 120mhz cause the picture is not nearly as good as my two year old samsung. wonder if i can return this for a better model? I mean,it pic is ok but not even close to my 46 samsung from two years ago. i just assumed any new model would be better.

I just recently purchased this model and am wildly disappointed. The viewing angle is awful, the colors are bleeding together, and the picture while playing a DVD is beyond horrendous. I’ll be returning my set soon – I recommend you don’t even bother.
